Drive west on Route 28 from the junction with Route 30 to the west of Margaretville near the Pepacton Reservoir. In about 1.5 miles watch for the Dunraven-New Kingston Road on the right. Turn here and drive 5.7 miles north passing through New Kingston. Watch for Thompson Hollow Road on the right. Take the right turn and drive about .6 miles to the SECOND cemetery on the road. Watch for DEP access signs and park along the side of the road or ask at one of the local farms. There is a woods road that passes through the fields to the north of the cemetery. This road crosses a creek twice with the first crossing being no problem. The second crossing will make it difficult not to get wet when the water is high. Continue to follow the woods road up through the fields heading east and southeast. You may be able to find a woods road to take you to the top. If you don't find a road, bushwhack to the peak. There are some very steep areas and the prickers at the top were present even in the depths of winter. Wander around to find the highest point and then head back.
